March is Women’s History month, a time to remember and recognize all of the amazing contributions women have made to society. As we reflect on how other women have contributed, I have to ask, how are you telling your story? By offering a product or a service that helps make life better, you have a lot to share! Here are some ways you can effectively tell your story:
- Be the Subject Matter Expert — Your business is what you’re good at. In addition to having something to sell, you also have something to share. You can provide industry happenings, insightful news, and relevant tips that highlight how you can make your customer’s lives better.
- Communicate — Where’s your tribe? Are they on LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram? Think of each social media medium as a language and pick out which one you want to master. Next, schedule times to consistently post, respond and keep in touch.
- Build Community — Who else does what you do? By identifying other businesses who offer the same or similar services as you, you can create a network where you amplify your voices through cross marketing of topics and events. It can be said that your network is your net worth, so make sure you’re getting to know other businesses.
As we continue through the month of March, let’s make history! Let’s tell our stories and build our brands to continue to enhance our business communities.
