How Your Small Business Can React to COVID-19

How Your Small Business Can React to COVID-19

COVID 19 is forcing us to create a new normal. While we don’t know how long anything will last – we do know a few things: Small businesses are innovators, the engine of the economy and most important, women are resilient – we make a way out of no way. Here a some resources and questions you can ask yourself as you work through this process:

  1. What’s the latest guidance from the CDC?
  2. If you’re self employed – where’s your office? If you’ve been working from home, does anything change? Make sure you communicate with your clients about the differences – being home 24/7 does not equal being available 24/7, set boundaries.
  3. If you have employees – can they still work? If you are going from in person to remote, what are your policies? If you cannot do your work remotely, what steps are you taking to help your employees? Does your business insurance policy have any relief by filing a claim? Are you familiar with SBA disaster loans? Can you share federal benefit resources?

I am working and encouraging everyone to bend but not break. Let’s be flexible and remember that work is a verb and not a place. For more small business resources, please be sure to check out the Keys to Success Community.
