In recognition of women around the world, 2021 has been branded with the hashtag #ChoosetoChallenge. The theme comes from the idea that “from challenge comes change”, and with that in mind, urges the calling out of gender bias and inequality with the hope of making major changes and driving us towards inclusion and equality.
Women’s history month takes on extra significance this year because many of the centennial celebrations to mark women's suffrage were canceled in 2020 due to COVID-19. Not only are women important to our nation’s history; they are important to the path our country must take moving forward.
We are kicking off Women’s history month with a celebration of our Odyssey women. While 2020 was a year of great challenge, a number of our Odyssey Women have accepted exciting new roles which position them to have a direct impact on those around them. The number of women who are forging ahead is cause for excitement and gives us feelings of pride, strength, and optimism at the possibility of them creating additional opportunities for both the world in which we live and the next generation.
We congratulate you and look forward to sharing all of your achievements in 2021.
